Prosperity. Determination. Abundance.

Traditionally as well as spiritually, bees have always been associated with positive qualities and good luck in general.

So if you’ve noticed bees flying around you or even landing on you, know that it may be a sign that good things are coming in your life.

Logically, no one can tell whether a bee, a butterfly, or anything else that appears in your life has a spiritual meaning or is simply a coincidence…

You simply need to observe the world around you, notice things, and see how and when these things are interrelated.

So before we dive into the actual spiritual meaning of bees flying around you, let’s have a look at why a spiritual meaning can exist in the first place…

Why bees can have a spiritual meaning

1. Like attracts like

There is a thing called “law of attraction” — whether you believe it’s controversial pseudoscience or the ultimate essence of the universe.

No need to dive into the actual description of the “law”, though — for the purpose of this post, we’ll simply look at the basic idea.

Which is something along the lines of: like attracts like, and one’s energy will naturally attract types of energy that match.

If this is true, then what the bee may symbolize — abundance, etc. — can match and therefore attract similar energy in your life, and vice versa.

2. You noticed it

There is an infinite number of things you may notice (or choose to focus on) at every given moment. Think about this for a second.

The very fact that you noticed bees flying around you or perhaps landing on you tells you there may be a meaning behind it.

Otherwise you wouldn’t have noticed it, or you would have ignored the event. Remember, spiritual meanings are always subjective.

To notice things others would dismiss as coincidences or luck (or ignore), you first have to be attuned to them.

3. Synchronicity

Jung originally coined the term around 100 years ago when reflecting on things like divination, non-duality, and the spiritual meaning of things.

Since then, all kinds of interpretations have emerged. But essentially, a synchronicity is an event that “matches” a non-causal psychic state.

Non-causal means not linked by an obvious cause-and-effect process. Examples could be precognitive dreams or symbols appearing during certain phases of your life.

Perhaps if you’ve noticed bees flying around you for the first time, it means something in you is changing, and the external event reflects that.

4. Signs from spirits

If we allow for the possibility of spirit guides, or spirits in general, then things happening in our life can be signs from them.

Spirit guides can’t communicate with us normally e.g. with speech, so instead they will use symbols, images, and coincidences.

This is especially true for dreams but it also applies to your daily life. Something like a bee flying around you can be a sign as long as it means something to you.

5. Truth is relative

Whether a bee flying around you has an actual spiritual meaning or not doesn’t really matter as long as you interpret it positively.

This isn’t spirituality, but psychology. If we repeatedly choose to see things around us as positive, or even “magical”, then life becomes better.

Guardian angels are the perfect example. Psychologically, it doesn’t matter whether they exist or not — our belief in them can make our life better as long as we use common sense.

Who feels better, who has the more optimistic point of view — the one who doesn’t believe in anything, or the one who believes they are protected?

Spiritual meaning of bees around you

Spiritually, bees flying around you can symbolize more abundance, prosperity, and good luck in your life.

Though bees aren’t always as hard working as the stereotype has it, we do see hard work when we observe them.

Bees are also incredibly intelligent, evolved, and organized, especially considering they are tiny insects.

The way they produce honey, kill predators, communicate with each other and behave according to hierarchy is nothing short of a miracle.

Personally, I think they’re cute, too — by contrast, wasps or other insects have a more aggressive, intimidating look.

All this means that bees symbolize not just hard work, but smart work, and most importantly fruitful work.

Have you been working really hard on something that’s finally paying off? Have you noticed more abundance in your life?

Perhaps the fruits of your work are finally showing and the bee, or bees, flying around you are a meaningful sign.
